I didn't buy these towels for the beach. I bought them for the bathroom. 25-30 years ago my wife and I bought double size beach towels for our pool towels. They have worked well, but they wear out badly. At this point, my wife is disabled and cannot stand for more than a few seconds. When she comes out of our new built in tub she can sit right on the edge of these towels leaving enough to dry off. They are absorbent and work well for our needs. They're not exactly soft and fluffy after washing either, but that doesn't matter for our needs. I would recommend these as bath towels for those in similar situations.
