Shorts for a 9 year old boy weighing 80 pounds. So I bought my son a pair of these because he played soccer in basketball shorts so he had to look good for his first game on the field. The length is perfect. They are see through when you expose them to the light, but I think that's a comfort benefit if you're wearing the right undergarments. My son wore black mesh underwear underneath.
