Review on AULLY PARK Universal Genuine Leather Car Steering Wheel Cover Stitching Style (Size M by Alex Rea

Revainrating 4 out of 5

By price. Excellent

I bought a size M for my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. This replaced a much more expensive film I had for about 10 years. The basic Ridgeline model has plastic handlebars with a relatively small diameter. Fits VERY tight but I prefer something that can move after a while. Contains two needles and two pieces of thread. The needles were a joke. I tried threading through the hole where each existing stitch went through the leather as shown in the instructions. The needles are straight and have a blunt end. I tried sharpening the point and curving it a bit to better penetrate the holes. The needle was soft metal, which I bent and pushed through tight holes several times. I found a sharp point curved upholstery needle made of strong steel that helped. If I did this the way the other reviewer did the loops of an existing stitch, I probably wouldn't need 5 or 6 hours of solid seat time. I knew it was going to be tedious having previously wrapped two other cars, but it seemed like too long. All that negativity aside, it looks beautiful and for the price, it's a great alternative to the $50 and Up Wrap. Take a heavy curved needle and needle nose pliers, especially if your hands are aging like mine. Allow yourself some time with this, and as other reviewers have pointed out, don't be afraid to try the easier sewing procedure. I switched between needles from stitches up/down in different sections just to make it easier. Looks and feels half as good as last quarter's priced bundle.
