They seem to be a lot better than the cheaper 60 watt unnamed black China power supplies. You must connect a 120V plug to the brown/blue wire to use the outlet. The red and black wires are the 12v output, but you need to get the +/- alignment correct for it to work. Do not confuse input 120V and output 12V. This can destroy the power supply, but I'm not sure if there is any built-in internal protection. I didn't want to try. I use them to power SMD 5050 LED strings and haven't had a single failure in two years. If you're using RGB LEDs, try the mini color controllers sold by Revain. They work great and are inexpensive. Other color controllers are the size of this power supply, offer fewer color options, and cost more. You also need to connect the connector to the red/black wire to connect the mini controller. Bulky color controllers are usually hardwired to this power supply.
