I purchased the Revain A50 Stereo Amplifier on 13th September 2019 for its combination of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Airplay connectivity as well as its compatibility with the regular streaming service. Out of the box the quality was impressive, but the real test was how it worked and sounded. After downloading the free app, setup was easy. In my case, I used the Google Play Store for an Android app. I use the 4stream app but have also used the Muzo app. Both apps found my WiFi network quickly and have been working flawlessly ever since. The A50's Airplay feature was important to me as it's a really inexpensive way to get quality music from my Apple iMac - it sounds better than Bluetooth. The iMac also connects easily to the A50 and on OSX you just click on the sound icon in the top right corner of the screen and select the A50 from the drop down list. I also have FLAC, ALAC, MP3 and other music files stored on Synology NAS and Open Media Vault NAS connected to my router. The 4stream and Muzo apps will identify these NAS, list available files and play them easily through the A50. I first hooked up the A50 to a pair of old JBL bookshelf speakers, but a few months ago I remembered a pair of Energy RC-10 bookshelf speakers. boxed speakers. Both sets of speakers offer plenty of volume in the 16-by-18-foot room the A50 sits in, but the Energy RC-10's sound quality blows me away. I think the A50 compares well to the Onkyo TX-NR807, which had RC-10s attached a few years ago. The 4stream and Muzo apps also have a few streaming services, but I mostly used Tidal. The internet radio feature has allowed me to find many new global radio stations and I love using my phone as a remote control to find these stations and update my favorites list. After 8 months of use I'm still very impressed with the Arylic A50 and I would recommend it to anyone who wants the convenience of all services, the quality of music output and the small size that it needs. The only 2 features I'd like to add are dual band WiFi (it only has 2.4 currently) and the Pandora service that can be added to apps (which already have iHeart). Highly recommended. 3# photos added on May 19, 2020 - they show the size compared to my hand and a small speaker on a bookshelf. The photo on the back also shows the connections, including the ethernet plug, which I don't use. The blue light on the front is bright, but not as bright as cellphone photos. It can easily be softened or muted with a small piece of tape, but I don't mind.
