Any sleeve reduces signal strength, but this one in particular isn't great for long cables. HDMI does not work or does not work, there is snow and glitches that I have encountered with this adapter. If you use two 10ft cables it will probably be fine. I recommend the HDMI Active Equalizer Extender Repeater - extend up to 100 feet for long cables. It uses the HDMI voltage to power the active repeater. This is genius. Just make sure you connect the input to the input marked on the side and the output to the output marked on the side, it won't work if you do it the other way round!
