I've never used a silk pillowcase in my life. I read about the benefits and decided to give it a try. It's soft and smooth, but I slip a little. I have an adjustable bed so I'm sure that's a lot of it. My hair is in good condition but it's old hair so maybe this is the best alternative for me I haven't had enough time to notice. I haven't noticed any difference at the head of the bed, but I usually wake up fine. My hair is long and I'm not sure if that's the reason. I want to give an honest review as people love the silk pillowcase. It's just an expensive silky pillowcase to me, but for side or tummy sleeping it's probably heaven. i sleep on my back
