Good sound quality when transmitting and receiving. The only thing that bothers me is that there is a "pop" on reception when the squelch opens on a signal. It's not too bad, but it seems like some sort of DC voltage is being passed through the speaker whenever a sound is heard. I would think there is a way to block or bypass this so that there is no popping noise, only the receiving noise. When it comes down to it, I use it with a B-Tech UV-5X3 five-watt tri-band handheld, which is said to be compatible with other B-Tech and Baofeng radio accessories. Otherwise I'm satisfied. with the design and quality of the microphone. Thanks very much!
