Review on Marmot Slate Everyday Travel Bag Backpacks by Mark Harris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality, otherwise missing

I am an absolute connoisseur of backpacks as a student, professional, traveller, skier and backpacker. I own LOTS of all kinds. I was excited to try this because I really love Marmot gear for my outdoor adventures, but the design of this bag just didn't appeal to me. First, I find it ugly and boring. There are many black backpacks that look much more elegant and cool. Second, because I called it a holdall, I found that I couldn't fit all of my tech items and my change of clothes, which I feel is necessary to call it a holdall. Third, I find the design of the pocket layout and flaps just bad. It's hard to access what you need and the placement of the pockets is inconvenient. I always carry a 15" laptop and an iPad mini with me, along with Sennheiser on-ear headphones, a water bottle, a light jacket/sweater and all my personal belongings, and it pretty much fills and makes up for it rummage through a nightmare. . I really wish that. I had a side zip to access my laptop instead of pulling everything out through a hole at the top. So, I love the groundhog and appreciate the build quality, but I just don't like this everyday bag. OR travel backpack I will continue to buy Marmot gear for my outdoor adventures but if you are looking for an AMAZING travel/school/pro backpack of the same quality check out the Thule Crossover range. FAVORITE backpacks!
