Review on 🧼 Redken Brews Cleanse Bar For Men: Ultimate Soap for Face and Body, 5 Oz. by Brenda Garvin

Expensive but worth it!

I've had oily skin for as long as I can remember. In addition, my BO smelled very sour and the skin on my heels was very cracked and scaly. Never! Little did I know that I had been using high pH (alkaline) soaps for decades, but when I started learning about the importance of skin pH and the microbiome, I looked around and switched to Redken Brews. Its smell reminds me of old men, but it's a very pleasant smell. (It even smells good in the whole bathroom!) A few weeks after the replacement, my skin was less oily. I haven't even showered or used deodorant for two days and the acidic smell has almost completely disappeared. The cracked skin on the heels also stopped. However, I must first clarify something: I stopped washing my feet with soap before purchasing the product. I learned that a certain microbe that lives on all feet prevents athlete's foot. The skin consciously cares for it to keep it free from fungus. Washing feet with water only solved the problem. However, at Redken Brews I have found that if I notice foot odor and the soap is not cracking I can now use the soap again. I don't even have to file the extra skin anymore. (Note: I'm in my 40's so that may change as I get older.) I know some reviews say the bar doesn't last long. I use a shower organizer to keep it dry. Two other ways to save soap: Lather the bar in your hands instead of rubbing it directly on your skin. Also, only use soap on your face, armpits, and perineum, and wash other areas only as needed. (Dermatologists are starting to recommend it. Again, this has to do with the skin's microbiome.) I would highly recommend Redken Brews to anyone. It has solved many of my skin problems for me.
