Less like a stain (except on skin) and more like super glue mixed with ink. If you get it on your skin, you have about 2 seconds to wipe it off before your skin is stained. If you apply a second coat, or "your favorite mascara on top" as they suggest, you'll end up with big, clumpy spider paws. Raccoon eyes are the worst in the morning. Even after two types of soap in the shower, I still have mascara under my eyes, which will eventually be removed by rubbing with micellar water, but then the skin is dry. This product is not at all what I expected. However, it is very black and looks good in one coat, but it needs to be applied carefully so that it only stays on the lashes.
