Review on Logitech Anywhere Wireless Mouse Rechargeable by Dean Pascual

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's still a good mouse.

This is an improved version of the Logitech Wireless Anywhere Mouse MX for PC and Mac, which has dropped to $30 at the time of writing. The old version has a habit of breaking down after 2 years of use. Daily use, I know because I've bought 5 of these over the years for office and home use. The microswitch that registers mouse clicks tends to break or be depressed after a certain number of clicks. The scroll wheel also tends to lose its accuracy after 2-3 years. Maybe I'm an aggressive sequential clicker or something. Still, it's a good mouse. Improvements over the first version (MX Anywhere) Battery The improvement over the first version of MX Anywhere 2 is first of all the built-in battery and easy charging via the micro USB cable that everyone has. The battery lasts a very long time, I can't remember the last time I charged it, maybe a few months ago. In addition, the mouse also works while charging, unlike some other wireless rechargeable mice that require a charging cradle. Logitech has moved away from the glossy plastic that was in the first version. Feels great on hands compared to first version if you have wet/greasy fingers. The geometric grip also enhances the appearance of the mouse. Connectivity The pico mixer receiver has a significantly reduced profile. The mouse supports Bluetooth and Easy-Switch technology, which allows you to connect up to three supported devices at the same time and switch between them with the push of a button. I have no problem pairing with my MacBook Pro, Windows laptop and my Android phone. For now this gets 5 stars until my micro switch breaks. :)

Pros
  • BATTERY - Up to 70 days of use without a charge and a minute of charging lasts up to an hour of use; Battery: Rechargeable Li-Po (500 mAh).
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
