I was a little hesitant to purchase this comforter as the photos looked flimsy. My bedroom is a bit colder than other rooms in my house, so I need a little extra warmth. Although this item is thinner than my previous blanket, it resembles an oven. I kept the heat at a lower temperature because there were nights when I was sweating. I certainly won't complain if it saves me money on my bills! It's worth noting that I have a duvet cover so that might be what really helps keep him warm. As a side note, Utopia Bedding has great customer service. I received my first one and washed it according to the instructions. The duvet was damaged in the wash so I contacted them. No questions asked, they sent me a second one for free. I will definitely not wash it myself again, I recommend dry cleaning.
