I LOVE this thing! I have incredibly dry skin - I haven't been able to use facial soap for almost a year because it was too dry. You often saw dry patches, it was that bad. I used makeup remover wipes and micellar water which moisturized well but didn't remove makeup well and my eyes burned. I heard about black African soap in several magazines, I searched "facial soap for dry skin" and found this one. I'm SO glad I ordered it! A month has passed and I can tell you this: you will be given a 1 pound block to cut the bars from. As some have noted the bar swells up quickly but only when constantly wet - I keep mine on the top shelf in the shower and honestly it hasn't changed much in the 2.5 weeks since I've returned from holiday Size. Wet to wash and then lay somewhere to dry. When I was on holiday the tiny showers made it hard to avoid all showerers being constantly exposed to water - just keep it dry! Rods are very easy to cut with an old paring knife. My skin is in much better condition, it feels silky even without moisturizer which I never thought I could say. I usually had to use a hyluaronic acid serum AND a niacimid serum and sometimes a thicker night cream just to try to get the moisture back. Away with niacimid alone. This stuff is worth every penny, I will definitely be ordering again!
