I've tried quite a few cat beds. This one is built to last and is more impressive than the others. I love that it's reversible, with the gray and white patterned side it's super easy to wash and keep clean. I have an older cat so I put a polypropylene pad on the pillow and if there is any dirt I can easily and quickly wipe it off with a damp cloth on the rest of the bed. I love that it's comfortable, the cushion feels good and it gives my cat the freedom to move around and feel relaxed. Getting in and out is also easy for him. It's easy to load into the washing machine. I use it alone in the car. FYI I put it in the dryer once for 30 minutes on low and then let it air dry. I do not recommend hot water or a high drying cycle. If you have a stick in the middle of your washing machine, make sure the machine is big enough to support a bed and pillow and that nothing else is inside. I've been able to keep it clean and hygienic for my older cat and it looks good too.
