Good to have. Magnet is weak.
The light is very bright, with useful adjustable settings. The power button is a little challenging to find in the dark. Might add a little textured sticker to make it easier to locate. The magnetic pull is very weak, but the little hook thingy comes in handy. Little weird fragments trapped uunderneath the plastic. Hmmm. Seems to get very hot and kinda melty like, when left in the windshield of my vehicle for too long, but they still work fine.
