The picture shows that the stand is really a solid purchase, especially the many compartments and the ability to store everything. They looked like super thick and durable stuff. When I received the package in the mail, it was plastic. I was very happy with the laptop stand. I was excited to use it. When I connect the stand to my laptop, the fan is really poor quality. there is almost no air. The lamp does not stand still and falls all the time. The little stands that hold my laptop in place get in the way and are very annoying. The legs are really weak, especially when trying to pull the legs out. If you pull on one, it doesn't pull on the other. and they are not readily available; This means that if I want to expand the stand, I have to dismantle everything from the stand. Also when trying to open the compartments; Again everything has to be removed. Finally, the extension cord sucks. You get two expansion options and that's it. Either very low or very high. If you are on a surface that has no surface (such as a bed or sofa), the laptop and stand will not be level. which is really frustrating. So everything slips away. I would not recommend buying this stand.
