I have to say right away that I'm no big booze at all; I can wear the same pad all day or all night and not change it. I wear them simply as an extra precaution against the tiny amount of milk that leaks and to protect my nipples from rubbing against my bra and getting irritated. I feel like I've tried all of the nursing pads and they all have their pros and cons. I started with Lansinoh disposable nursing pads. They do their job and work well, but since I don't leak a lot I felt like I didn't have to keep changing them and would wear the same one all day. I think that led to me developing thrush, which wasn't very funny. For me the biggest downside was that they are disposable; It seemed such a waste of time to throw away nursing pads that were hardly used. Also, I will admit that I've gotten a little "crispy" since having a baby and on cloth diapers and wipes, mummy wipes, reusable snack bags, etc. The main reason for this is that I hate "throwing money away" every time when I use one of these disposable products. So I started looking for reusable nursing pads. The first one I tried was LilyPadz. I really liked her a lot; They stayed in place and I loved the barrier they created between my sensitive nipples and my clothes. The BIG downside of them was that they got trapped in moisture and got smelly very quickly. To the point that I took them off and I got tired of the smell of my boobs. I only pump milk but my baby was kinda showing an interest in breastfeeding after drinking my milk from the bottle for 3 months and I couldn't help but think he wouldn't be interested in smelly boobs so decided me to try something else. . I love the LilyPadz for workouts and those rare occasions when I want to go braless. But they just didn't fit for everyday use. Which brings me to Bamboobies. They work just like disposable pads but are washable, which is a nice touch. I like that they are thin and modest and the fabric is nice and soft (much softer than disposable pads). They are more hygienic than LilyPadz and more eco-friendly and wallet-friendly than disposable pads. That's really a good middle ground. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the edges curl up a bit after washing, which is really just cosmetic and doesn't affect functionality in any way, but I'm picky. Also, the powdered milk makes them stick to my nipples a bit, but that's happened to me with disposable pads, and that's probably a downside of all cloth pads. I think the more I wash them the more they soak up and maybe powdered milk isn't a problem after all. Six-packs are more than enough to last you a few no-frills days, but again, I only switch mornings and evenings. Since it's a light leak, I actually used them overnight. I probably don't need night pads but I like that they are thicker which covers my nipples a bit when I sleep. But if you have a slight leak, no need to spend extra money on overnight pads, they hold up great! In general I am very happy with them, now they will be my favorite nursing pads.
