Read! Don't buy a good one for waves

. Don't buy, they are useless. The rubber boots you see in the picture are the only thing holding the pen in place. On two rides on loose gravel I lost a boot pin and the axle fell apart. A small hole formed in the anther of the second pass, and the pin flew out, and the second axis fell apart. Traxxas made a new replacement driveshaft that doesn't have this problem, it's steel with no rubber boots and no retaining spring to hold the pin in place. Traxxas part 9052X - new cardan shafts. These old version rubber boot driveshafts are advertised as slashes which is not true, they are only good for rc cars that just stay on the pavement. Sorry, but the short-haul truck is made for mud and off-road.

Pros
  • gimbal pins are held captive so you never have to worry about losing the old
Cons
  • pin
