We received this item on time. At first I did not understand why the battery compartment does not open. Then I realized that he was holding on to the screw. I'm glad I wasn't stubborn in my attempts to open the battery compartment or it would definitely have broken. I put in 2 brand new AA batteries from Amazon Basics. I turned on the device and placed it on the mat. He made a strange noise, moved his legs, rolled over the first time, fell on his side the second time, and died 15 seconds later. I'm not joking. The batteries have started to warm up and the smell of burnt wires reaches me. I quickly pulled out the batteries because I'd rather keep my batteries than waste them on this broken part. I strongly recommend paying a little more and getting a better product.
