Buy this camera while you still can

Back to photography, I bought a Nikon D3100 and a Cannon T2i. What frustrated me about both of them is the camera's lack of attractive digital filters. I stumbled across a few photos online showing built-in Pentax filters and was intrigued. Also, my first camera was the Pentax K1000 and I thought I might check out the Pentax brand. The K-7 and K-5 didn't impress me, and after doing some research on Kr I decided to take a chance and order Kr. First let me say that I love the shape and style of the camera. I'm 6ft tall and about 185 tall and this camera fits my hands perfectly, not too big and not too small. All controls feel right and the in-camera filters are a joy to use. There must be at least 10 different filters, and the best part is that you can layer filter upon filter seemingly endlessly. On the D3100 you only have a few filters (like blur or color enhancement) and once you've applied the filter, which it was, one filter change per frame. I also bought a Pentax DA 35mm F2.4 lens and it takes great photos. I recommend the e-book you can get on Pentax Kx (essentially the same controls as Kr) from a guy named Yvon Book. It costs about $10 and is much easier to read and use than the booklet that comes with Kr. I bought my camera from the Big Value Store. The camera was delivered quickly and well packaged. And I have to say, Kr comes in the coolest retro box, I'll keep that to myself.
