My feet are not wide. However, after reading the reviews about the narrow toe box, I bought a half size up to compensate and it still wasn't enough. There were so many full sized that I was afraid of tripping over my own feet. I've worn the Gel-Kayano for many years because it was one of the best overpronation shoes. The Gel-Kayano 22 was the last Kayano I was able to wear comfortably without any issues. Before I bought the 23s I was fed up with the latest, the Gel-Kayano 25s, and they were a disaster too. My legs were numb after 2 miles of a 5 mile walk. I really wish ASICS would adopt the "If it ain't broke, DON'T TRY TO FIX IT" business philosophy, especially if it's one of your best selling products! My doctor, who is very fitness oriented and competes in Ironman competitions in the US, recommends Saucony shoes. I think I'll try them next.
