Update after 2 months of use - I love it! We have a cheap crib mattress and that's enough to make it look more real. This memory foam mat isn't too soft and won't sink, making it safe for babies who sleep on their stomachs like my own! Update 2: No smell after a few days of use. Update: My tummy has been sleeping for almost 8 months, I slept great on this mattress with no fear of suffocation - the mattress topper really doesn't sink because it's so light (17lbs), the faint smell is barely noticeable when my face is on pressed against the mattress on the 1st. Day of use, so I have no doubt that any smell will completely disappear after the first few days. It seems to add just enough pillows to feel more like a 'bed' without being too soft or unsafe (my previous child slept for the first 7 months and had trouble adjusting to the crib). I will note that this is my third child, I use a baby monitor as well as an Owelet smart sock and regularly go into the room every few hours to check on my child (superparanoid mom). Additional Info: Fully inflated in 30 minutes. It completely covered my crib mattress with no length issues.
