This is a hollow plastic tray. It fit my steering wheel just fine.Good for:- Setting your food down while you catch a bite to eat in the car- Holding up an iphone or ipad for viewing a video in the car, or maybe doing a conference callNot good for:- Bearing much weight at all. For example, I have a keyboard attached to my ipad and when I type on this tray, it bounces a good deal. Workable, but not great.- Hand writing notes.
