Update: Hearing Aid Compatibility

I was looking for a hearing aid compatible headset for my husband. He has an 80 percent hearing loss and wears behind-the-ear hearing aids. This headset was bought for use at home to listen to movies and songs from his computer but especially when we travel by plane so that he can listen to movies and not just watch them without sound since he cannot hear with headphones . Airline-supplied headphones or others we've tried in the past, including Bose. This Phothive headset worked! The husband said it was pleasant to the ears. He said the earcup padding is soft and plush, deep and wide enough to fit his hearing aids. The headband was more than enough for his large head. He said the sound was great. He also said that when using a headset, he put his hearing aid on phone setup and used a low volume. He usually has to use the highest volume settings. He used the headphones easily during several flights (20 hours each way). They lasted about 6-8 hours of continuous flight from a full charge. He charged them via the USB port on the plane while watching/listening to movies. My hearing is excellent, I used headphones. I tried his headset for comparison and the sound from the Photive headset was much crisper and clearer. I'll get myself a pair. FYI, he didn't use a suitcase to transport her. It was too big and bulky for this trip. Instead, he attached them to a strap on his backpack and they hung freely. Update January 2019. The headphones still work for my husband and give him hours of enjoyment on the plane. They are quite durable, especially since it does not travel in the suitcase. I also bought a headset but I have a very small head so the ear cups aren't snug enough for me and some sound leaks out. I would still recommend them, especially to hearing aid wearers.
