The picture looks more gray than black. When they arrived they were definitely dark grey. Not even remotely black. This was good for me as I wanted gray but could live with black. The cables are VERY curved and you cannot train them the other way as this is achieved by varying the length of the wires. Note the warning in the graphics cable photos. Because card manufacturers don't all orient the power connectors the same way, and in your case you might have to try to reach the connectors from the top or bottom, they might not work for you. As for me, I'm generally happy with the kit and it looks good and solved my problem with the short power cord.
