We look for two things in children's shoes. Easy to put on and lightweight. This will make your little one's basic parenting routine a little easier. Having other brands that force your child to wear shoes becomes a nightmare as they cannot get in. Unfortunately, this ASICS style has a wide opening and a single strap that allows my child to put the shoes on faster but still painfully slowly. The shoes are also light which helps as the walking is apparently brutal. that age and they will complain. Fortunately, the shoes are lighter, so complaints are a little less common.
