I bought this machine and was very happy with it. I read a lot of reviews about different machines and based on the positive reviews I chose this one. After about 10 uses, I found a cog in my popcorn. Looking around, I realized it was coming from the roof of the car. I thought I could screw it back on, but it doesn't "catch" on anything. I also noticed that another screw comes out. Unfortunately, I've almost exceeded my 30-day Revain purchase window. I have contacted the company and will update my review based on their response. I may have received a lemon or there is a general quality issue. I have to say the machine still works but who knows what is loose and how that will affect functionality in the long run. Let's hope the company will replace the machine as stated in the warranty. Before the problem I would have given the car 5 stars. In terms of functionality, it worked perfectly and I was generally happy with it. For the price paid, I didn't expect a high-quality metal machine and I didn't get one either. The machine is plastic all around and the kettle feels well built (this is the part that needs to be really well made for a durable machine). The amount of popcorn it produces is perfect for me and my wife, although you'll probably want to make multiple batches for more than 2 people. I recommend using coconut oil and popcorn salt - tastes a lot like theater popcorn! Great! **UPDATE** The company responded to me within a reasonable time (later the same day) and emailed me instructions on how to remove the machine cover without damaging anything. When I removed it I found that one of the screws was completely missing (there should be 4 screws holding the motor). The missing screw didn't have a spare nut in the body so I just think it's poor workmanship. I contacted the company again and asked for an extra bolt and nut. **SECOND UPDATE** The "correction" posted by Great Northern was helpful. You basically use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the front car logo (do this at the bottom of the logo part so you don't damage it). Then remove the two screws that have been exposed and finally use a flathead screwdriver to pry the cover up (again, be careful). Once inside you can clearly see how the bolts hold the motor. GN sent me replacement screws at my request as one of them was missing. Didn't have a chance to go to the hardware store to buy a lock washer to keep the nut from loosening - looks like this might be an issue later. I've probably used the machine over 3 dozen times. The popcorn still tastes fantastic and the machine works very well! I clean the kettle every 3-4 times as recommended and there have been no problems other than those I have described here. I still only give 3 stars because of the quality issue I mentioned.
