The new and improved formula is horrible

You know your new and improved formula is bad when reviewers simply assume that somehow they got a fake, a fake product. I've been a regular Rembrandt toothpaste user for almost 20 years and when my last tube ran out I naturally ordered another one. When it arrived I read the packaging about this new version and thought hey maybe now they give us more toothpaste per tube - cool! Unfortunately, the truth is that they completely messed up the toothpaste. Rembrandt always had a taste that took some getting used to. This minty, chemical taste was in stark contrast to some milder tasting toothpastes, but I soon got used to it. This new formula somehow tastes even harsher and more chemical than the original. Instead of giving us more toothpaste like the packaging claims, it seems they just inflated the paste with air so it's more like thick foam than paste. This causes them to stick together when you try to brush your teeth with them, not to mention making them easy to fall off the toothbrush unless you actually push them into the bristles. Is it more efficient? I do not know. My experience with the new formula was so bad that I honestly never want to use it again. I struggled to finish the pipe I had just because I didn't want to waste it. Complaining about toothpaste may seem like a small thing, but I also believe that brushing your teeth shouldn't be frustrating and, above all, uncomfortable. I sincerely hope this is the New Coke situation and Rembrandt is just mocking us and re-publishing the original formula. This is bad and they should feel bad.

Pros
  • Deeply White + Peroxide Whitening Toothpaste whitens teeth from the inside out and restores tooth enamel
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly
