I bought these switches to replace my weak and I mean very weak amber halogen turn signals that couldn't be seen in daylight and they only can be seen in daylight it's mostly dark outside. They're literally VERY BRIGHT, when you've wrapped headlights like these mustangs, they illuminate the entire side of the freeway walls and even directs the light a little behind you at a slight angle. If you are on a 3-lane road or any other road, they will illuminate the two lanes next to you. The 50W 6 ohm resistor is really necessary to prevent excessive blinking. If not (I tested without it), it may not work properly and may not turn white even after turning off the turn signal. With most 3-wire turn signals, only one flash of light is lost if you press the lock button twice while locking the vehicle. This is due to the resistor, not the bulb. The resistor withstands the instantaneous pulse of electricity that comes twice from the panic/push button lock to set off the vehicle's alarm. This resistor must allow electrical current to flow for at least 1.5 seconds in order for current to flow to the other side of the wire. For the 3rd wire, connect the resistors to the brake/turn signal and ground wire terminals without touching the parking light wire. Once you've made the decision to switch (have it switched because reverse switching is an inside joke) you need to keep using these types of lights. If I could give them 6 stars I would because they take pretty much any car, especially a 15.5 year old like mine, and turn your car into an "Audi, Mercedes, Neuwagen" (get it, turn it , because they are blinkers). chase view.
