Very easy to assemble, you just need to pay attention to how the pieces face each other, or you'll have to come back to fix it later. Although I got it wrong a few times (maybe I should have read the instructions better), it didn't take long and was pretty easy. The boxes themselves are actually a lot sturdier than I expected, which is great. Of course, if you overstuff them, they'll bulge a bit, so try to avoid that. Some of the other reviewers mentioned the smell, and when you first smelled it, yes it had a slight odor, but the smell dissipated pretty quickly for me. I had it in a small, rather closed room and there was no smell in the room. And frankly, for such a price and convenience that it can be easily disassembled and reassembled, not to mention cute, the smell is irrelevant for a few days. It is also much lighter than a wooden dresser. I was able to carry the box down the stairs by myself. It was a bit difficult, but I made it. If it were made of wood, it would have to be carried piece by piece or by several people. All in all this is a great product.
