This OXO plug with good grip goes very well with our old ones.
This OXO plug sticks well to the tub and fits our old tub very well. Nothing can stop the water these days and we love to take a dip from time to time. This is a very good alternative to what I used before (it got very moldy and rough and fell apart). This is a very simple but useful design. It has a small suction cup to try and stop it from moving, but that doesn't always work. I'd suggest holding it until it's sealed, then you can just let go and let the tub fill. Overall I am happy with this connector. It gets the job done and I love that it's just ONE detail.
