I have had several different office phones over the past few years. I recently bought a Fanstel phone after reading reviews and doing a little research online. Unfortunately, this phone was more disappointing in that the speakerphone functionality was terrible. Most of the calls went unheard as every other word was left out. So I decided to research again and came across this dual RCA line model. I've been using it for a few weeks and am very happy with it. I have one line so I didn't bother setting up the 2nd line. It was easy to set up and use right from the start. The caller ID is large and backlit. The sound is very good via the handset and the speakerphone. The speakerphone is loud and way, way better than the Fanstel. In fact, I can have a two-way conversation through an RCA speakerphone. Storing names and numbers in the phone book or in shortcut keys is very easy. I connected the headset via the 2.5mm jack; An external amplifier is not required as it is built into the phone. Just plug in and use your favorite headset. The headset volume control is separate from the speakerphone and will be accessed the next time you have a call using this method. Finally, a simple press of the volume down button will quickly mute the call if you don't want to be interrupted. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend this phone for home or small office use.
