The quality control on it is blurry. I had to buy two sets and swap several tweezers because the thickness of the jaws of each tweezer was different. By the way, I just got back from a 2.5 week trip from Japan. The gift shop at one of the ryokan/hotels I stayed in sold lacquered tweezers for 330 yen ($3.30). They were designed as omage (gifts) because they were painted with intricate designs. But as Japanese, they put the Ruvanti tweezers to shame. First, the jaws on each tweezer were ground to the same thickness, and the inner jaws were ground down properly so they easily grab your arm hair no matter where on the tweezers you try to grab them. The Ruvanti tweezers will not grip the tweezers properly when you try the bottom edge. These Japanese tweezers were so well made that I ended up buying a second set as the price can't be beat. Her paint job is also nice to look at.
