Unfortunately, these strips are defective - potential fire hazard. It appears that each of the 6 sockets has a manufacturing defect in the depth of the socket. I checked both strips and both had the same problem. I have a Belkins strip and just in case I inserted the connectors into the sockets on the Belkins strip and the connector was inserted cleanly and securely with good contact. Not so with the Clear Powerstrips. The plug was not fully inserted into the Clear Power jack, creating a dangerous gap, ie potential hazard of electric shock.
