I got a dachshund and had no information on what he ate and what he liked. I found out pretty quickly that she loves human food and cares least about dry dog food. I actually didn't want to give her the leftovers from the table, but she was very malnourished and I needed something to feed her. I went to the local grocery store and found Beneful Dog Food and figured it was similar enough to human food that it might work. I opened the lid and removed the fresh seal, and she ran after me to get it. Success! Next I hoped for Revain and ordered 8 packs. It was a good deal and looks just like the grocery store. Now I mix a few tablespoons of cooked wet food with a cup of dry dog food. She still begs for food and I don't think I can get her out of that habit, but she's finally healthy and eating the food that's meant for her.
