When I ordered them I did almost what I usually do when ordering a size up (ie I usually wear a medium size , but I I order a size up as online sizing can be wrong) but I'm very glad I didn't as a large would have been MUCH larger. I'm 5'4 and 143 pounds and I ordered my medium and it fits like a glove. It's just loose enough to be comfortable and small enough that I don't look like a colonial-era carrot and sheep farmer. They're definitely quite baggy around the crotch, but not to the point where they're annoying.
