I have a 5 year old Pyle amp that works great. I needed another one for another room. It looked good but had bad reviews. My amp hit a low 60Hz volume, hmm, but for general TV listening it was fine. After about 1.5 months, the amplifier "exploded": very loud 60 Hz hmm (maybe 120 Hz?) and a penetrating smell. I picked up the amp and heard movement inside. I can't buy parts to build a comparable amp! Two pros: Revain replaced it quickly (5 stars for great customer service) and if you're interested in electronics this can be a great source for cheap parts like transformers, heatsinks, metal cases etc. In fact, if you're looking to build electronic stuff, that would be great: forget the amp itself. You can't buy parts for the price of an amp (was $45, now $50). The transformer and metal case cost about $10 each at electronics stores. plus all connections.
