My wife bought a 2019 Toyota Highlander Platinum Limited. I was very surprised to buy a high end model that didn't have any kind of remote start. If you're at all comfortable with it, it's a fairly simple plug and play setup. It hides well under dashboards and all wiring harnesses fit perfectly into existing wiring ports. No splicing required, just disconnect and reconnect. Probably the hardest part was removing the dashboard and trying to make sure I didn't break any of the plastic connectors. When you're done, you won't see anything open and everything else works as intended. The price, $170, might be a bit steep, but I'm glad I made the purchase. It works perfectly without adding another remote control.
