Based on the reviews I thought the comforter would be comforting. I got him out of bed after two hours. It was too heavy (bought a double size 12lb to be lighter) and too hot in a 63 degree room. I started reading in bed but immediately had to uncover my legs and cover them with a regular blanket. The weighted blanket pressed on my legs so hard it hurt. My cat loved it though. She wanted to curl up when I threw her over the blanket that came with it. And that's why I couldn't return it. The velor top drew her long hair like a magnet. It was my fault, I should have realized I couldn't have dark colors in a place a cat could reach. It can be a very good product and some people clearly like it. I bought the smallest I could find just to try it and didn't like it at all. So be careful not to buy it if you like sitting in bed with your legs up. And don't buy if you have a big fluffy cat.
