Excel is a spreadsheet application developed by Microsoft Corporation.
It's free and easy to use, so anyone who uses spreadsheets should find this useful. It works across desktop, tablet, phone and browser and it's flexible enough to work for most teams. For example, if you're building a database, it's great to have all your data in one place - without having to enter it into multiple spreadsheets. You can search, filter and group items together, and add new rows. All the details are easily visible, so it's easy to find what you're looking for. I've worked with JXL for almost 2 years now, and it's been fantastic. Every update adds even more functionality and improvements, making it easier and faster to do what we want to do. In addition to the basic spreadsheet functions, there are loads of customisations and integrations available to make it suitable for any business.

- If you don't require any customisation, then you can use it as-is.
- It has many useful integration options (with Zapier) which make it very easy to link it to your own apps/systems.
- It's very easy to create and edit files (as long as you know how to use Microsoft Office).
- The UI is quite old school.
- However, it does offer everything you need at a low cost.
- It needs to be installed on each machine before it can be used.
