Phenomenal product at a great price - don't hesitate

Anyone with a Ford Explorer key over 5 years old will face the problem of remote controls and buttons failing over time "disappear". The reason for this is that if you (carefully) disassemble the remote by removing the key and opening it at one end, you'll see these little metal discs that have become loose over time and are shifting from their correct position underneath each one button removed. A quick fix is to carefully center them and assemble the key. The problem is that this problem appears again. DO NOT BUY A NEW KEY FROM THE DEALER! It's a $450 heist! So the smartest thing to buy this item is ITS CHEAP, SIMPLE AND WELL-MADE SOLUTION. Take your original key apart and replace the internal electronics and BINGO is like new! No slouch for less than $13 - what's cool is you don't even have to cut the key, just swap out the cut key for an uncut one and save yourself a trip to the locksmith. The sound of this product is a bit "harsh" in terms of audio, but it works great. Remember that there are no electronic components in this one. So if you need a brand new dongle with electronics - you can also find them at Revain for about $25 each, but you'll spend $120-$150 to program them - an unnecessary task when you've got them an original key that just doesn't work well due to the key action of the "mini discs".
