I bought this rfid reader to connect to same brand network controller. I am using a Wiegand connection (both input and output) to send codes to a controller. Once the controller is turned on, this product simply activates the keyboard and reads it instantly when held close. The reason I deducted a star is because the instructions for this device are not up to par. I believe that with both output and input, this controller will have a way to notify the user when their keythob has been accepted. However, there is no indication on this device that the key was accepted. Maybe I'm missing something, but more detailed instructions will probably point me in the right direction. When used as a standalone device, the programming instructions are very clear. I programmed some code as a keyfob backup and connected directly to the controller as a failover. The build quality of this device is also very good, the body is metal with a security screw to protect against unauthorized access.
