I give this 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars. The lights aren't as bright as the picture suggests, but they're still ok, which is to be expected from 3 AAA batteries. Approx. 7 light functions are available, which can be conveniently switched with a button. Most importantly, the light appears to turn off about 6 hours after you turn it on, and then turn back on 18 hours later at the same time you originally turned it on (as someone noted in a question and answer). This helps extend battery life. I don't know yet how often I have to change the batteries. I'm guessing every week or so, but that's a guess.
