A LED product should last pretty much indefinitely, definitely more than 3 months. Worked fine for 3 months and then just stopped working. As the strip is attached to the back of my TV it has not been abused in any way, it is simply not a quality item. Beyond that, I can't recommend this for anything more than a novelty that really should cost closer to $10. I haven't found any real purpose for flashing modes. I also tried all the colors and after seeing how they all looked, it turned out that the stripe was white the whole time as no other color really worked. And the white backlight was fine, but personally I didn't notice less eye strain or a more immersive image. This is a gadget item for those who love gadgets (myself included and I paid a good $26 but in hindsight I'd recommend saving the money and going white as you won't see any colors after the first week Will use more Get another brand too that won't break easily There doesn't seem to be any company behind this product.
