We've had it at home for almost two years now. I bought this for our son who has a number of developmental delays with planning and fine motor skills being some of his biggest struggles. So I bought this toy to work on a number of things and I wanted it precisely because the crank handle is bigger and I knew he could grab it and turn it. The handles for many other jacks and the boxes are too small for him and I knew that would discourage him and we probably wouldn't get him to cooperate on the matter. Therefore, my rating is based on several factors. In terms of durability, this is a 5 star product. It's still working after two years of abuse and use, and when we first got it the thing was often abandoned. Difficult. Let's just say he wasn't a fan of anything other than chewing on it at first. With one exception, all components work as they should, the mirror proved to be quite scratch-resistant. The reason I took off a star is because Jack hasn't shown up with a song in the sink since day one. This means that time is up. For our little man, I focused on pointing out that he spins it until Jack pops out. Pushing Jack down was what initially motivated him the most about this toy. something we work on from time to time because he actually still wants to play with it. I like that the button and horn make sounds that aren't overwhelming because sound desensitization was another goal we've had for years, and in the early stages of his sensory issues we couldn't get him to do it. Touch toy that makes any noise at all. I love that we could challenge him in more than one way and that the music is softer for the toy handle. Overall I think this is actually a very well made toy and a great place to start some typical development. infants or younger toddlers. And in terms of children with special needs and fine motor skills, it was the best choice on the market at the time of purchase due to the size of the handle. We had a musical timing error and that was the reason for the deduction. I hope this will be an issue that they have already fixed as we have had this for a couple of years now. But if you're not worried about the possibility of the music being cut off, this thing has epic durability and I can definitely recommend it for that.
