This is an amazing case. On the outside it has a small pocket that I put a money clip in to take it out easily. It then has a large zip pocket to put your other stuff which I use to charge my iPad but you could fit a few other small items. Then the big real iPad case has this material with the bumps and indentations you usually see around fragile things so it seems to have good shock resistance. Haven't dropped my iPad in it yet and hopefully won't, but I think it will provide good protection. The outer material is comfortable and water-repellent. I highly recommend this case. Too bad they didn't have this for the 12.9 inch iPad Pro for my wife to get.
