Talk time is less than advertised - everything else is fantastic

I looked at several devices and settled on this one. I'm sorry to say I'm disappointed. Pros: Convertible wearing style - On-ear headphones irritate the scalp, so I prefer in-ear or hook-on headphones. This one fits the bill and has a low profile. At first it seems very comfortable, but at the end of the day it became a little painful. The earhook is adjustable, so I'm sure it's just a matter of adjusting it properly for comfort. The device also comes with a headband and a head/neck strap. The neck and neck bandage also makes a comfortable impression - although I admittedly only tried it on out of curiosity and not for actual use. Sound Quality - The sound quality is excellent. Not only do callers say I sound great, but background noise is greatly reduced. The quality improvement was noticeable with at least one caller I speak to regularly. Softphone Controls - Works well with Microsoft Teams and my Iphone. I can finally answer, end, and end calls in Teams with my headset. On Zoom calls, the mute button didn't seem to work. I haven't tried tweaking the settings yet though. The charging station is very easy to set up. It's nice that you can set the base to ring when a call comes in. There are also answer and end buttons and a battery indicator. You can choose from several advanced options: show time (24-hour or 12-hour format), image download, image download, or show nothing in sleep mode. Setup - Very easy to set up with clear instructions. It was easy to connect to my PC. Range - For my purposes, the range is excellent. I work from home and used to not be able to maintain a connection when going into the kitchen with my previous headset. Not only does this headset stay connected, but the sound quality stays excellent too. Bluetooth / Mobile - Pairing is easy. The sound quality is excellent. Device settings to set call priority means my Teams call is not on hold because a call is ringing on my cell phone. Headset Busy Light – Works as advertised and can be toggled on and off based on personal preference. It would have been more effective if I wore the headset on my left ear as that is the side facing the door to my office where my family can see it. Since I wear the headset on the right, my family can only see it when I leave the office. It would be very helpful if I could effectively teach them to check the light before trying to start a conversation. (I really wish there was a device with the same range that could connect wirelessly to my computer. This would give me a lot more options to notify my family when I'm working from home.) Ringtones - You can choose yours select your preferred ringtone from a preloaded list or (bonus feature) you can upload your own ringtone. Cons: Talk time - I had 3 main criteria for choosing a headset: range, talk time, wearing style. With a claimed talk time of 9 hours and reviews that suggest 7 hours, this device should have surpassed my previous headset by a few hours. This is not my experience. The headset dies in less than 5 hours of talk time on a full charge. At this critical point I am very disappointed. Note: It is possible to use it as a wired audio device. Call control and busy display features are not supported. Overall: If you don't need to be on the phone all day or have enough time to charge your headset in the middle of the day, this is a good choice for you. . However, if you need talk time all day, you should look elsewhere.
