As far as Bluetooth adapters go, I think that's the only downside to a home theater system that can accept two inputs and play them simultaneously. It supports Apt-X with low latency and lets you know if the connected device supports the same. This is very good for connecting with the device you want to connect it to. Even my most stubborn devices connect to it with ease. For my purposes, I connected another bluetooth adapter to my laptop and plugged it into this one. I output it on my Echo Studio. Works great. I even set up routines for Alexa to connect and disconnect from the Switch (a custom "connect Bluetooth” command) and dim the lights to reduce screen glare. I don't have to touch HomeSpot at all for it to connect properly. I would like to point out that there is quite a delay which I honestly expected. It means nothing against HomeSpot. It's just the nature of this technology, especially with this extra layer of input and the fact that the Echo doesn't support low latency. For me, the convenience of being wireless and having both devices connected to my studio at the same time was a steal. However, if you're concerned about latency, using a Bluetooth-only route might not be for you.
