I have X-Grip mounts in my Jeep for a couple of radios and phones and they work GREAT. This block looks like an almost identical copy of the X-Grip but with slightly cheaper materials. The ball ends don't have the nice rubberized finish the Ram uses, and the X-Grip levers are reminiscent of the cheap chrome steel parts you see on cheap tools. But the clamp is nice and solid, and it has one major advantage over the X-Grip, which is that when the phone is in it, it doesn't rock back and forth (about 5º of rotation). It has an eyelet of sorts that prevents the phone from rotating when placed between hands. Because of the sturdy build I think it's much better suited to a motorcycle, SXS or similar than a bike. Very nice and functional for the price. It's just not in the same league as the RAM X-Grip (although it's close and the Ram will cost you double if you add balls and clamps).
